Kangia River Lodge U.S. Angler Weeks + Full Calendar Open for 2028

A visit to Kangia River Lodge in Greenland can be a tough ticket to punch. Thanks in no small part to its wild, stunning landscapes and prolific migrations of orange- and red-bellied sea-run Arctic char, the lodge has been a bucket-list destination for many anglers for years. Since the introduction of United Airlines’ non-stop flights to Greenland direct from the U.S., demand has only increased, further compounding the situation.
The lodge's calendar typically books up at least a year in advance and its "U.S. Angler Weeks," perhaps better referred to as "North American Angler Weeks" — weeks specially scheduled to ease travel for North American anglers by coinciding with United Airlines' non-stop flights from the U.S. — often book almost 2 years in advance, largely by virtue of the fact that there are typically only two such weeks per year.
Thus, for those hoping to log a visit to wild and wonderful Greenland in search of its sea-run Arctic char, there's no time like the present to book their 2028 trip to the lodge. The full 2028 calendar is now open for booking and anglers on the lodge's waitlist have already started filling up coveted weeks.
